A recent thread reminded me of this video I saw a while back: Jujimufu sparring with Shane Fazen in an experiment about technical experience Vs a heavier stronger opponent. It's worth noting that Jujimufu does have TKD experience, but nevertheless it's an interesting video to watch.
From the few videos I had seen I didin't have a good impression about Fazen and his channel, but boxed well here. This video is indeed interesting, especially the grappling part. Thanks! The bodybuilder seemed like a pretty nice fellow and made the video pretty entertaining.
Jujimufu is a completely different animal beast. Obviously a big lifter but jumps around like a gymnast. His videos are always off the wall funny. He's the lifter doing a OHP whilst doing the splits between chairs.
Worth noting that jujimufu (magnificent and amusing mass of meat that he is ) is first and foremost an acrobat and tricker, who does weight training as part of that as well as for itself, not just a guy who lifts and is somewhat agile. As in, literally, this is him doing his main thing: Instagram post by Jon Call • May 11, 2017 at 4:12pm UTC
You'd think that after all these videos of beasts like Juji, Scott Adkins and Michael Jai White flipping, spinning and kicking, people would finally get it in their heads that muscle does not equate to slow.
yeah, I think the majority of us have trained with someone who is big, fast and agile at some point, so as not to doubt the potential outcomes Vs a big person. The perception seems to come from the inexperienced, or those who haven't stepped outside their comfort zone to train with different clubs/people. I always enjoy seeing what off the wall Jujimufu experiments he's trying next, one of those people that pushes the boundaries instead of following the mould.
