Are you a writer, copywriter or just starting out? Say hello and tell us a bit about yourself here!

Howdy folks! My name is Jeff Mann and I guess I qualify for this forum. When it comes to martial arts, I write primarily about the intersection of Japanese religion and budo. I typically write for Clasical Fighting Arts. You can also search Amazon for my name (Jeffrey K. Mann) if you want to see other stuff I've done.

I'm always eager to hear of good suggestions for things to read, and if folks know of any other outlets for authors, I would value those suggestions as well.

Erm, I'm writing stuff for my english course and apparently I'm not awful at it if that counts? I also plan on sticking one in a comp. Not exactly an Opera sticker winner but I wanted to join in

Quite a mix of writing so far! I'm sure there must be more people on here though, we've got at least 3 published authors for starters.

I write fan fiction for fun. Nothing professional in that respect. I used to write articles and reviews for a Xbox 360 website aswell.

    Hi

I'm a (currently part time) writer.

I've written history papers (unpublished) and a doctoral thesis (limited copies), martial arts articles (online and magazine publications) and one book (Karate).

I've a few other partly completed publications up my sleeve and may be writing a lot more in the near future due to a little bit of life re-arrangement.

Professional Shmafessional. It doesn't matter if you're a published bestselling author, a blogger, journalist or just write shorts for fun.

    Writers write.

A mate said to me yesterday that him and one of his chums are looking into doing a blog now and again and I got asked to lend my literary genius so I'll add that in. Also planning on getting some review stuff going on when I get some time.

Hi, I'm Matt. At a young age I won an award for an illustrated short story, I can still remember standing on stage at the local university and receiving it proudly as if it were the greatest thing. My poetry was published in 8th grade and I pretty much quit writing at that point.

What I write sometimes clashes with the ToS here at MAP so here is a link to my blog.

So a question. I'm clearing my old college memory stick to give it back to my mum and I found my english coursework. Its been trimmed down because its the version I sent to a competition but is it acceptable to post it in this thread for mappers to laugh at? Seems a waste to delete it.

    Zuihitsu-inspired writer

    Hi,

I've just published my third book. This one is inspired by Japanese zuihitsu writing and is based on my experiences of living and training in Japan.

    Thanks.

    Hi all,

My fourth zuihitsu-styled book, Cloud Break, has also been published and is now available as a paperback. Like the previous two books, it is a short, creative work based on my observations through the martial arts.

    Thanks.

Hello, everyone. My name is Keith Vargo. I used to write for Black Belt magazine (for around 17 years) and even published a book with them called Philosophy of Fighting: Morals and Motivations of the Modern Warrior. I also used to post semi-regularly on MAP, but been away for awhile. During that time I worked on a follow-up to the first book. The new one is called The Soul of Fighting: Martial Arts, Compat Sports, and the Search for Warrior Wisdom. Anyway, I guess I should stop there. I know MAP frowns on advertising and I'm afraid saying more about the books might break some forum rules. But thanks for reading.
