      oh. actually what i mean by collapsed chest is compression of the ribcage/expansion of the abdomen

      Great. Watch out for the collapsed chest, it can make you feel depressed. It's more like dropping the shoulders with your lower back flat. So the weight of your chest and head drop into your centre. If you concave your chest (round shoulders), then the top of your chest (collar bones) will hang slightly in front of your dantien (double weighted).
      Thought I'd mention that just in case you find yourself feeling down for no particular reason.

      actually i've been doing tai chi for over a year now :p

      but yeah, i'm just beginning to make the connection between the posture, the collapsed chest, the managing of the intra-abdominal pressure, the anal lock/mula bandha and all that.

      slowly but surely, i learn :D
