What does "egg over easy" mean? Since I need to work on my eating habits again, I won't bother to explain why my breakfast was some candy
Right there with you - Mine was a tub (a dozen or so) of my daughters homemade, high sugar content (she still needs to learn the difference between a tea spoon and a table spoon) Ginger biscuits... ...I guess today is a cheat day! Travess
Fry an egg, turn it over before the white has fully set and cook it from the other side, leaving the yolk runny in the middle. I think I don't normally cook them like that, but was cooking with no fat in a non-stick pan. Normally a fried egg should be cooked with oil, on a high heat, so the bottom goes crispy, and the oil basted over so the white cooks but the yolk is still runny. Dammit, now I want a fried egg! I typically eat a Luna bar in the morning, and then have lunch a few hours later. On weekends I eat an oatmeal concoction my wife has been making herself that doesn't take long to make: frozen oatmeal (warmed up in microwave), a sliced up apple (or half apple), turkey sausage, almonds, and cinnamon. I'm about to try Huel though, and will be having some of that for breakfast for a while (unless I hate it).
Crashed out at my young ladies last night (hereafter referred to as 'shewho'), so popped to tesco, had a pint of whole milk, a banana, and a nutri bake breakfast thing. Final day before seriously dialing into the new diet. Milk shall become skimmed, breakfast either fruit, or protein weetabix depending on my plans.
How much more protein is in protein weetabix then in normal weetabix? Edit, 6g per 100g more So that's the protein equivalent of an extra 200ml of milk per 100g of weetabix. Weetabix Cereal - Britain's Favourite Breakfast Cereal
I found it while researching historical recipes. It's a modern version of an ancient roman dish. Pass the Garum I used quick oats instead of bulgur.
Half a cup of rolled oats cooked with 3/4 of a cup of skimmed milk, with a chopped banana and a teaspoon of honey.
Ok so today is day 2 of trying Huel for me. Yesterday I had maybe 200 calories of Huel for breakfast--I had eaten just a bit prior to going to bed, and wasn't hungry enough to drink the rest. I felt very full and a bit bloated after just the 200 cal, but not too bad. I got the vanilla flavored v2.2, and didn't put anything additional in it. It was palatable but a little unpleasant for me. Today I had maybe 350 calories of Huel for breakfast. My general habit is to have a few hundred calories a little while before bed (banana, maybe some yogurt or cheese). Last night I made sure not to eat too much close to bed so I'd have more room for breakfast. I put a teaspoon of cacao & a teaspoon of ceylon cinnamon. It was much more palatable, and not really unpleasant. I'll see what time I'm hungry for lunch--I usually eat lunch 2-3 hours after breakfast. I may wait longer today.
I had ~400 calories of Huel for breakfast today. Yesterday was my first double-dose; I had 500 cal for breakfast and another 500 cal later that day (in addition to other food). I've been to the bathroom several times, and though the stomach issues aren't too bad (though noticeable, certainly), the stench is awful. And I'm not particularly sensitive to odors. I mean, really really bad. Hopefully its an adjustment period thing--I tried soylent at one point and had a few days of horrid odors in the restroom from that too.
Yesterday I went by a shop with a lot of natural products and bought a cereal rice porridge to try for a breakfast instead of my usual oats. Ate is today with strawberries, raspberries, banana, cinnamon and a bit of almonds, sunflower seeds and pieces of coconut. I was intimidated by its smell at first, but it actually tasted nice
500 calories of Huel. I replaced my raw cacao--the bag I'd been using was ~9 months expired. The texture this morning was better in some undefinable way--guessing it was the cacao being fresher, but could also just be regular variation. Anyway, my preparation has been: 3 scoops Huel (with the Huel scooper) ~400 ml water - 1 tsp ceylon cinnamon - 1 tsp raw cacao - 6 ice cubes Shake vigorously, add ~140ml of water, shake more.
