Even with my anticipation boiling over, I don't think I'll be pre-ordering. I never do. I like to let a game be out long enough for a variety of reviews to come out, get a bit of word of mouth and get a patch or two if needed (and it usually is). Last game I was this amped up for was No Man's Sky... And we all know how that turned out. So I strongly believe in my strategy! I just afford to spank £50+ on a turkey.
Not normally this excited about a game but this looks amazing, the fact that they motion captured HEMA techniques for the combat system was the final straw. I would hope that a game this long in development will be epic. I have just started to play Mass Effect Andromeda so I don't normally jump on a game on release.
I can't lie. I am so up for kingdom come and the whole premise. I hope I haven't set my expectations too high.
If its rubbish you can blame me for recommending it LOL. Used to it from the Wife so I have broad shoulders.
If it's rubbish I will blame Warhorse. Just as I blamed Hello games... Because it they who should be shouldering the scorn.
And I have the armour and weaponry as well. As well as knowing a large amount of very large eastern Europeans/Russians with armour and weaponry.
Well that's your fall back plan sorted. They sound capable of supporting a weight far larger than your disappointment so it should be fine.
Finally got a physical copy of 'The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+' for my Nintendo Switch, and it is glorious. It looks awesomely retro, and has that 'just one more go' feel about it, sadly, 'one more go' ends up being 30 more goes, and next thing I know it's like 3am and I can't get the sound of crying ghost babies out of my head...
I'm playing "Seasons after Fall". I was really considering whether or not to get the game when it was on sale for $7.99, but decided to do so in the end (I'm a cheap *******, I know ). And I'm glad, that I did! The game is beautifully done; graphics are very nice and beautiful, music as well. I haven't finished it yet, so I can't say too much about the story, but so far it's well worth its money. I'm still not sure, how to describe it: You play a fox (sort of) that has to visit the guardians of he seasons; on it's way it also learns how to manipulate the seasons - a way to solve riddles in the game. The game has no action whatsoever. I'm pretty sure you can't even die (I just jumped down every gap I saw and it was a way). So it's probably not a game for action junkies, but more for people who like story-driven games. I'm really looking forward to continue playing tomorrow! I also got myself "Torment: Tides of Numenera" and "Final Fantasy X" & Final Fantasy X-2". Looking forward to these as well, even though I wonder in how much trouble I am, trophy-wise But first I should finish/ play "Horizon: Zero Dawn", "Heavy Rain" (last time I played it some years ago on Ps3) and "Beyond Two Souls", since I only borrowed these from people of the dojo.
Torment is amazing. Have you played the original one on which it's based? (Planescape: Torment, one of the old Black Isle AD&D ones) I'm currently going through Hard West, Satellite Reign, and Freespace 2 (the latter in preparation for replaying and finishing the fan campaign Blue Planet). Respectively, an XCOM-like Weird West themed tactical combat game, a Syndicate-inspired cyberpunk real time tactics game, and one of the best space combat sims ever made. Also may hit up some Star Wars games soon as I caved in and bought the entire discounted range GOG has on sale for this week (including Rebellion and Republic Commando <3)
Xbox Gold let me have the Hitman: Season 1 training pack and got hooked. Now I got an order for the game....
Picking up my copy of Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen remastered today for the Xbox 1. Pretty excited as this was one of my favourite games on my old 360.
Unfortunately, no, I haven't. I have it work for ages and even installed it once, but for some reason I don't get myself, I have never started it. Is it advisably to play it first in your opinion?
It's not at all necessary, they're different stories set in different fictional universes, and there are valid arguments for playing either first. I would decide based on how well you tolerate older games, as PS: T is from 1999, so is a tad dated gameplay and graphics-wise. I do however recommend that you look up the fanmade fix packs for PS: T when you do play it, which make for a somewhat better playing experience.
I am playing Warthunder, TF2, Fist full of Frags, Hearts of iron 4, Danganropa and Higurashi when they cry. All the games i am actively playing. Well, i am also playing a few more. (and yes when i compelte the first Dangararopa i will be getting the second and third.)
Recently I got myself a new laptop. Pretty much the only thing I wanted it to be able to, is to play older games I had given example games, like: Star Wars KoTOR, Baldur's Gate and the such. Therefore I think, I can live with playing it at some point
You are a person of refinement and erudition (also if you like Baldur's Gate you'll probably like Torment too, same AD&D ruleset, just a -way- different campaign setting to Forgotten Realms)
