Im ready to love you
to share everything that I am.
To be happy just to be near you,
but you dont give a damn.

You speak of your loves lost
of the aching in your heart.
Thats a pain that I know whell
because I feel it when we're apart.

I think that I know you,
but I want to learn more.
I want to know what you fear most
and what youre longing for

I see tenderness in your eyes
and other unfamiliar traits.
That cause uneasiness in my heart
and a wanting I've learned to hate.

But I know you dont feel the same
friendship is all we have in store
I'll never risk an end to that
Ill never ask for more.

Because I know what you desire
and Ill never measure up
It seems like thats always the case?
Why havent I just given up?

Because theres just an inkling of hope
wasting away inside of me
it says "give it time, wait and see,
whats meant to be, is meant to be."

I just pray that this hope can survive
and I can wait out the lonely times.
That the one that comes to me in my dreams
can find me in real life.

If its someone else, thats ok
As long as he loves me in every way
For who I am, for what I feel
For the earth and the sky and everything real

My hope better not die
before the time has come
that someone will look deep into my eyes
and tell me that Im the one.
