Flowing Water, Rushing Dreams
by Kinjiro Tsukasa
Flowing water, rushing dreams
It's all the same to me
The river runs, rambling along
Going where I cannot see
It holds life
And still forms, too
All of interest to my mind
A flash, a glimpse, I look for more
But it is gone too soon
I seek my dream in mercurial streaks
Lit by sunshine's dancing fire
It surges on, like flowing water
Silver shimmer
Here now, then gone
Gone to where I cannot see
Here, a tableau, illuminated
Try to catch it with my eye
Golden glimmer
But it moves on too soon
Too swiftly
I search in my mind
The scene is not there
But yes, it is, it's just moved on
Like river water flowing down
Accessible, but not by me
Not here
Not now
Downstream
To be recaptured at another time
Another place
When I least expect it
A moment of grace
Flowing water, rushing dreams
It's all the same to me
