training with ip chun/ip ching

hi, due to work commitments i may be able to get across to hong kong at some point this year.


does anyone know of a website or contact for trying to organise wing chun training with either of ip mans sons???

Without a recomendation from one of their students, I very much doubt you will be able to train with them.

You see they don't know you or your character and they would propably be very wary of teaching you unless one of their students spoke up for you. Having good contacts can open up a lot of doors for you.

I would suggest you contact Sifu Shaun Rawcliffe at the site below, he is one of Ip Chun students here in the UK, he may be able to point you in the right direction.

isnt that the case with all masters in the orient. very weary of teaching anyone outside them the art they know unless they are sponsored or brought along with a valued student or family member.

If you consider the amount of people who would want to study with ip chun or ip ching I think that already reason enough for them to have criteria/be selective in who they will teach- if they didn't they would be teaching a class of about 500 every day...

I thnk he has retired from teaching outside of Hong Kong(Ip Chun), traveling all over the world was getting a bit much for him(So I heard, I may have it wrong)
