Have you heard of Milo, or Nesqik? If not, they are a powered flavouring you mix with milk.

Much the same with protein powder. You mix the protein power with milk or water. Then you drink it.

More more information, check out this page: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/protein.htm

It really depends of what you want. Milk has extra protein in it, water doesnt. But milk also has more cal's and fat content.

If you are worried about the cal's you can use skim milk.

If you buy a weight gainer you'll get calories, and you need those to build muscle.
Here's a protein thread with some general info in it.
One of the first threads I posted it :) *sigh*

No use milk/skim milk, its better. More protein and more energy that you will need.

    And run miles everyday.

    You won't get bulky.

I told you in the PM reply that you won't get bulky. You hva ebeen told what exercise will and won't make you bulky.

As long as you exercise right (which you''re going to have to, if you want to look like that), you will not get bulky, not matter how much protein, milk you have.

Say you have three serves of the powder day. If you'r using around a 94% WPI, that's 20grams perserve. plus around 8 grams with 300ml of full milk.

That 84grams protein, just from these servers, not counting your normal diet.

I said it before. When taking protein and weight lifting, it depends on how you lift that determines whether or not you get bulky or not. Low rep, high weight. And eat as much protein as you can.

If you want to really lean, run miles apon miles everyday.

    Drink lots of water too.

    Dude!

Do bodyweight excercises or do what Yoda has told you like a million times w/ the high weight and low reps!

That's how you get that body.

It doesn't really matter whether you use milk or water. Milk has 9 grams of protein per serving. Water has none.

We can't tell you how much protien you need without more details.
How often you weight train, the type of protien you intend to take (don't say protein powder), your weight, age, how many meals you have a day, what you roughly eat in those.
    And so forth.

Some would say Whey Protein Isolate is the best (WPI). 90-98%
The product you get will tell you how much to have in each serve.

Don't forget other foods contain protein too. You can't live of the powder.

Go to that page I gave you.
