A true Martial Artists doesn't need to fight.
I mean, I'm not sure exactly what he does, but it isn't fighting. - I go with what my dad taught me. Punch them as hard as you can in the face as many times as you can. |

This is what has worked for me several times:
I said: "I don't wanna fight you, I have no reason to fight" But you have to remain cool, not show any fear, and not show any agression for this to work. If the guy moves towards me I remain calm, but hold a comfortable distance, If he tries to grab me, I just slightly move to a different angle all the time, pushing away his hands. And whatever you do, always be prepared to block/avoid and counter. Lol, this one time a guy hit his wife/gf and saw me and my friends watching. He yelled at us and threatened us. I don't know why but I just started half running towards him withouth doubting, he fled on his bike. I don't know if that was so smart, but it worked. Every situation is different... |

Ive only had this happen to me once, i just stayed calm and told the guy "look mate i want no trouble".
I got the feeling he was wating for me to make the first move. He was a big guy though. If he was my sort of size i may have broke out the windmill on him.

People don't just run up and threaten you for no reason.
I got punched a couple of weeks ago by some guy who was gobbin' off about my jacket. For absolutely no reason. He walks up and says "You think you're real ****ing hard wearing a puffed up jacket, don't ya" (or something close to that). I reply by saying "It's my ****ing motor bike jacket mate" and BAM, he punches me in the chest. Quite funny really.

It is too easy in the heat of things to put too much power into something, or use an excessive technique and end up hurting the other guy.
