    Mark Hominick v. Jorge Gurgel
Hominick by unanimous decision (29-28,29-28,29-28). This fight ****ed me off. While it was a great striking match, and I think Hominick technically earned the decision, it really angered me to see him actually turn his back and run from Gurgel to avoid the takedown a number of times. Overall though he did land more strikes and got a legit win...BARELY

    Stephan Bonnar v. Rashad Evans
    Evans by majority decision (29-28,29-28,29-29)
A pretty good fight, that didn't turn out how I wanted it. Rashad pretty much dominated. From the get go the slammed Bonnar at will and then tried to pound from the guard. Though Rashad has no idea how to get a submission he sure knew how to avoid one dodging multiple triangle, kimura and armbar attempts from Bonnar's guard. He earned the decision, and the one judge that ruled it a draw is on some serious drugs.

    Rob Macdonald v. Kristian Rotharmel
Macdonald by armbar in Rd 1.
I was rooting for Kristian, but I knew he wouldn't be ready. I was right. He gassed early and was thrown all over the place by Macdonald's superior wrestling. Towards the end of the first he through an arm out that Macdonald seized for a perfect armbar.

    Chris Leben v. Anderson Silva
Silva by KO in Rd 1.
This one was over FAST. They both came out swinging. Silva caught Leben early and rocked him hard! I've never seen Leben even close to rocked that hard. It knocked him down, but he fought to stand up as Silva didn't pursue. Then Silva landed a couple more punches, got the clinch and caught him with a big knee in the head for the KO.

    Luke Cummo v. Jonathan Goulet
    Goulet by majority decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-29)
This fight was awesome. I knew Luke would have trouble if he couldn't keep the fight standing though. From the start Goulet got the takedown and pressed Cummo hard on the ground. Cummo has a very impressive ground game from a defensive standpoint. Goulet landed some shots, but couldn't come close to a submission. However, he kept Cummo down the entire round. By this point Cummo is really gassed from fighting off the groundgame. The second round begins and Cummo rocks Goulet hard with a punch. Goulet is knocked down, and Cummo tries to finish. Goulet is able to fight it off though. From here it's more of the same. He repeatedly takes Cummo down and GnP's him until the end of the round. The third round looked to be more of the same until the very end when Cummo reverses things and sinks in a REALLY deep RNC that pretty much everyone thought would end it. But with less than 10 seconds left Goulet fights out of it because Cummo is so tired and reverses it for a few more punches to end the fight. Goulet gets the well earned decision.

Overall it was a good night of fights, but I was disappointed. Not 1 fighter I wanted to win did. I was really pulling hard for Luke, and I think he has the ability to do well. His striking is great, and he's decent on the ground, he just needs a little better takedown defense. Bonnar really dissappointed me by not fighting better. I think Gurgel looked really good, just Hominick was way to fast to get a takedown on. Leben just plain got KTFO, what can you say. I think we can assume Kristian is done. He's never looked good so far.

Gurgel vs Hominick- I missed the first round, but caught the others. Pretty good striking contest, although neither seemed interested in ending the fight. Hominick made himself look foolish with his running away, but he got the win.

Bonnar vs Rashad- Bonnar never really impressed me as very athletic, and Rashad showed me why. He was quicker, stronger, and just overall a better athlete. If he would learn how to finish a fight he could make a great fighter.

Cummo vs Gourel- Cummo had the better stand-up, but Gourel was too strong and simply overpowered him on the ground. Cummo just didn't have the power to get back up after he went down, there were a couple times he got back to his feet while Gourel was on his knees, and Cummo just got yanked back down.

Silva vs Leben- Silva showed GREAT striking, and a lot of power for a seeminly skinny guy. Leben couldn't get close enough to do any damage.

Macdonald vs Rotharmel- I am surprised Kristian got another fight after his refusing Dana White, but perhaps he was put in there to lose? He was overwhelmed, Rob had more power, speed, athletecism, and skill.

Wasn't a great night, but wasn't that bad either. Did you see those two chicks making out?

[EXPAND="spoiler"]I was seriously disappointed with Bonnar's fight, didn't seem like he ever got going, and just kept doing the same thing over and over.

Silva was awesome, just launching those jabs between Leben's guard, and they were not love taps!

You really called it on McDonald, KSWolf, he demonstrated that he is a top level wrestler indeed. Very impressive win.

Finally, I wanted Cumho to win, because I liked him from the UFC show, but he got gassed and just couldn't put Goulet out of his misery, even when he had him in a rear naked choke! It was probably the most competitive fight of the night, IMHO. [/EXPAND] Also how did I mss the two girls making out???

It was right before a commerical about an hour or so into the event.

Two pretty hot chicks saw the camera and started making out... glad the cameraman stayed on them for a couple of seconds.
