Anyone got any experience with pcspecialist.co.uk? Was thinking about ordering from them but they seem a little cheap for what they offer.

Anyone got any other recomendations? I want a cheap PC but one that i can upgrade in about a year or so when I am finished with Uni and have more money so any opinions would be welcome.

Cheapest way I found was to buy the components from http://www.scan.co.uk/
and put it togeather myself. Thus getting higher spec for same money - much satisfaction resulted. :)

Oww, scan seems to be really expensive. Maybe it's just the systems I'm looking at but the site I origninally posted seems to be able to do the same thing for just over half the price including delivery.

Yeah, I've just had a peep (and bookmarked for future ref) they do seem cheaper than chips. Wish I'd found it earlier. All I can say is that scan are reputable and I've had no probs with their stuff or service. However, price is always important, you pays your money and takes your choice. :D

I always buy my pc bits online cos I live in the sticks. Ive used quite a few different online shops and had no trouble with any of them. Scan.co.uk is my favourite.

Mesh are probably the best in the UK. Good systems, good prices and reliable. My Mesh matrix Atlon XP2100 is still going strong after 3 1/2 years.

I've just ordered a new PC from Mesh. I've heard good stuff about them.

I don't know much about them.

The only advice I can give about buying online is to use a Credit Card, not a Debit Card. That way you've got some insurance if the goods don't turn up.

Strange things sometimes happen ...... look at Tiny/Time. :woo:
