which is the better choice

i have two choices for a bujinkan training. i can either go to a normal dojo which is closer to me or jack hoban's dojo. i have heard a lot about jack hoban and is apparantly pretty high in the martial arts world, however he is an hour away. i'll be starting my training in the summer of 2006 with a friend. (right now we're juniors in high school so an extensive drive would be very difficult) is the longer drive worth it, and if any body does train in either of these dojos, could you tell me how they are. thank you.

If I had a chance to train with Jack, that's where I'd go. But if money is your concern, go with the closer one and travel to train with Jack as finances allow. There is no reason you can't train with both.

Absolutely, go to both!

Jack is one of the very top Bujinkan instructors in the US, and you are unbelievably fortunate to have him only an hour away from you.

Yes, I'd agree with the above posts, definitely go to both. I'd maybe make a preference of joining the closer one but would make a point of training at Jack's fairly often.

money is not a concern with me (my mother will probably pay) and right now i am going into junior year in high school, which is why im starting in the summer wen i can drive and wen i have the time. this is just a matter on how much effort i should put in to getting to my dojo.

I know this sounds like a 'boring adult advice' but you will get as much out of training as the effort you put into it.
