Emin Boztepe/Leung Ting

Forgive me for possibly beating a dead horse, but what exactly led to the split between Boztepe and Ting? I read an interview from Boztepe in Inside Kung-fu, but it wasnt that clear as to 'why'. If there's a thread already posted on here or if someone can give me some insight into this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i read about that on the net but can't think of a link off hand...just google it mate.

these disputes are usually over money or politics.

One things for sure.....EB is a highly skilled MAist with experiance in Wing Chun but also turkish wrestling and i think some other styles too.

This is old news to most but apparently it was Keith Kernsphect ,not Ting who forced him out. Emin was getting too popular, wanted to do seminars in Europe and Kernspecht wasnt happy since thats hes patch / franchise.
Emin was running the US clubs and became increasingly disillusioned with paying kernspecht a share of his income.
There was all kinds of stories at the time of Kernspecht trying to set up Emin by arranging a seminar in Germany for Emin which apparently would be ambushed by several of Kernspecht's high graded students. Also some big anniversary meal arranged by kernspecht for all the top instructors, he invited Emin along but at the last minute Emin was warned, apparently by Ting, not to go since Kernspecht was trying to set him up again for a fight.

Believe what you want but one thing for sure is that the WT org is not short of underhanded tactics. There has been no end of top WT guys leave since Emin.

Emin gets a lot of bad press which he doesn't deserve. He may have set himself up for some of it but let's not forget what he was originally well known for and that's being an amazing Martial Artist.
