please stop posting about how Akido is a non-violent MA, yes the goal of the Akido student is to avoid fighting, but when in a fight Akido techniques can easily inflict broken bones or worse.

Actually, you served yourself. A nice example of how aikido works in an ideal situation. Thanks for that :)

Well, Akido is violent the way I practice it.

    Really?

With whom did you learn it and where do you train it?

It's really not that hard to take the base techniques and twist just a little farther, or pull just a little harder. But before you get all offended, remember, I don't get into fights.

Nope, I'm not offended, I'm quite difficult to offend, actually.

I just wanted to know who you train with and where you learned aikido.

meh, its been awhile, the instructor was liscnesed by the National Akido Board (or whatever its called, i saw his certificate) he taught at a local church three nights a week (the main room was covered in mats and we had a storage room for our Bokken and Jo staffs)

Could you possibly share his name? Since it's "been awhile", it shouldn't be considered sharing of too much personal information.

Also, once you share his name, it shouldn't be hard to verify that he was "liscnesed by the National Akido Board".

Isn't there a Scottish MA derived from shephards that practiced while tending the flock?

    Bakido or somesuch?

    Maybe, it's baaakido.

Although, at this point, it could just be bahkido.

No!!!!It is the deadly art of erikido. There is also a deadly art called aikido de seagal.

    But, in all seriousness.
People always state how an aikidokai never injures his opponent. His opponent only injures himself. This assumes that the person who originally attacked you knows how to fall correctly. I doubt that there are many people who go around attacking people who know how to fall correctly.
