What are some of your favorite sneaky/unorthodox strikes that are effective? Personally a quick roundhouses to the calf area is always unexpected and hits a lot.
Over the bar and out the back door before they've realised what's happening. Putting furniture in the way. Hiding behind someone bigger. Monkey fist to the temple. Quick kick to the groin. All followed by legging it at the earliest opportunity. I assume that by sneaky attacks you mean fight enders, rather than just a sneak blow before carrying on the first?
Donkey punch? In general I think it really depends on the conditions the opponent provides, a move on its own is just like any other IMO. I like moves which set up an opening for an unexpected strike, things like feinting low, attacking high and vice versa or pressing down hard on a tight guard to get an upward response, then following the upward response to hit the face/head.
It has been a staple of mine for years - first via Pete C when i was in teh BCA and then via Vu (although i prefer teh BCA delivery method)
Is there any examples of open hand techniques knocking people out in competition? I seem to remember the old Pancrase tournaments having open hands only
2 words Giant Silva watch any of his fights, he is very unorthadoxed. Giant overhand slaps to the top of his opponents heads and such

Why sell your intent? Just stamp on the shin without the theatrics! Anyone I see clench in front of me gets taken out very quickly
when I did systema they taught a usefull cover up with your elbow pointing at the attacker so they swing, you cover and step forwards driving the elbow into the guy or girls face or they come to grab and run face first into your elbow. I cant remeber what its called, i also quite like the strike thats like a slap, keeping the whole arm loose aimed at the general neck, ear area using a lot of body weight. we practiced that as a reaction as well.
This. I personally dont believe that sneaky shots come from any particular 1 move. Its the follow up/counter that gets people. However saying that I tend to dirty box a lot. I got long arms but feel lot more comfortable in the clinch. I also anticipate the "push off" to get out of it (as youre essentially doing a 1 hand clinch) and throw a round kick.
A front snap kick to the ulna nerve while swaying a jab. But the toes have to be clenched so that the knuckles of your toes can sink in. :-D
