Thousands of women train in the martial art of ninjutsu at clubs supervised by the Ministry of Sports. Hehehehehe!
Final post It some ways I'm impressed. I wonder how many Bujinkan members have put in that much effort.

Thats a good thing sometimes. I just happen to skim over new posts here several times a day, as Im on the pc alot.
OMG this has made it to the front page of the Grauniad now, well the online version http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/shortcuts/2012/feb/19/irans-female-ninjas
These women were introduced even a Japanese newspaper. Comment by Shihan of Bushinkan which there was in the article. "This dojo does not have a direct relation with Bushinkan" "Probably this dojo will be a thing derived from the Iranian branch office" In the world, a lot of ninjya dojo which is totally unrelated to Japan exist. Korean dojo which teaches people taekwondo as Ninjutu is in Iran.
It is not Wakizashi that these women possess. Ninjyato is fiction. In Japan, Ninjyato is handled as a toy. 十手?体変術?
Iran is angry... at reuters YOU REPORT WRONG INFO! YOU ARE NO NINJA!! :ninja1: :ninja2: Iran suspends accreditation for Reuters in Tehran darn, they limited membership to only 3K. I was hoping to join...
I actually agree, regardless of whether they're authentic or not. I see red and brown belts though. Never had those in my dojo. Just white, green, blue and black. We used to wear tabi on mats too. I once broke a toe because I didn't (long story, lol).
Maybe there are no women in your dojo. Red is often worn (instead of green) for graded kyu students, haven't seen brown though. Are jika tabi the outdoor rubber soled ones, for training, outdoors... Wasn't all that keen on indoor tabi, used to slide about no end on wooden floors
White belts were for 9th Kyu. Green belt was carried from 8th Kyu right up until 1st Kyu. We used a silver/gold star system, which was sewn above the Bujinkan badge, to determine Kyu. Blue belt was for 1st Kyu. Black Belt was for 1st Dan onward.
