[Tang Soo Do] Good Stretching Technique! with pics.

I saw Jhoon Rhee using a elasticated strap to achieve this same effect, but i figured i could do it without out having to buy it. I am using a Dressing gown cord in the photo but you can use your belt if you wish (just dont blame me if it snaps )

You basically tie the cord/belt/rope round your ankle and foot, do a side leg raising and with the aid of the cord hold it and pull till you feel the stretch working. I'm rubbish at describing, the pics explain it better.

I've seen the same thing done lying on your back, using the cord/belt/whatever to pull the foot back towards your head.
Not sure how effective these exercises are though... anyone else know?
