Mini Map Meet - The Gathering.

Having just done my very first training with a bo, I am so sorry I could not be part of this Simon! Looks like great fun and even if people took away one bit of new info I'd call that a success. I know I wasnn't there but thank you for you time and instruction! Andy's as well.

 

I'm really bad with not keeping a guard out in front!

i guess i would get more reach and would be able to deploy it quicker.

 

Yes, reach. And it keeps your body out of the way a bit.

Of course, double stick doesn't matter.

Have you done any one stick versus two sticks?...that's bloody horrible.

 

I am so sad I missed all of this. I'll have to see if I can arrange to come out next time (as well as hopefully attending the MAP meet)

 

We tried a little bit on the day.
single stick on offensive - the first stick just knocks any blows out the way and the second stick follows up with a whack.
double stick on the offensive - both sticks just twirl at you and if you're able to stop one the other just follows up!

in short, 2 sticks are better than one.

 

Simon is the only person I know who goes to tesco, buys one can of beans and puts in in a carrier bag

Sounds good , I'd be happy to stick with the FMA format as before ; hopefully get a few more numbers involved this time round and develop the free spar element.

 

If I'm available I'll drop in. I already have the venue booked twice in September.
