Sounds awesome! :) I imagine being able to do that would really help my adagio/allegro work and probably my live cutting (tamashagiri) and weapon sparring. :hat:

So far, 1.5 hours ballet. Cardio must be improving because the allegro and grande allegro didn't wind me 'tall. :D Introduced Balloone, which I've been wanting to learn. Adagio was harder than allegro today. :O I found fails in my soutenu turns. :( Heading to the gym after lunch.

Stay tuned for more thrilling action! :D

ETA: What the Ballone looks like (it's hard as it looks, but I can almost do it well):

An hour and a half of ballet BEFORE martial arts training?

You are perhaps a Terminator sent from the future to kill us? Because you'd have to be a machine to do that!

(Sorry...meant to include this text with the head banging guy)

Onto gym shenannigans in the evening:

    deadlifts
    1x5 empty bar
    1x3, 65 lbs
    5x2, 90 lbs

    Front squat
    1x5, 45 lbs
    1x3, 55 lbs
5x2, 70 lbs (had to warm up with lighter weights a bit to get this one. grrrr)

    pullups
    3x3

    bicep curls
3x3, 65 lbs. Doing it with a regular bar gave me awful form. Weeeeeeak! :( Did extra sets with one of those weights with endcaps and straight bar to make up for it.

    Push press
Made me happier about myself. :) Yay, self-esteem!
    1x5 40 lb
    1x3 55 lb
    5x2 70 lb

Had extra time to kill, so some HIIT, doing monkey bar runs on the cable machine, other goodies. :)

I think Harry's master plan to turn me into a brutally strong, yet elegant monster is working. :hat:

On Mondays and occasional Wednesdays, yup. :hat: IDK if it's as scary as you make it sound, as my ballet is from 1:30-3 PM, weight training is usually 4-5ish, and my MA is from 8-ish to 9:30 or so. I probably am a Terminator though. Or perhaps a Russian spy. ;) Remember not to let that get out of this thread, lest you have a horrifying "accident". ;):hat::cool:

Tonight, 1.5 hours ballet. Nailed my tour jete..except for the arm position was not quite right. :/ Lots of jumps and turns en l'aire. Long and short combinations. Ended with a bunch of laps of chaines turns. I'm getting better at these :D but my spotting needs a bit of improvement.

Cardio capacity has teh awesome. If it weren't so sticky humid in the studio I wouldn't have needed a few sips of water t'all. Seems like every dance studio and dojo has terrible climate control. WTH? :p

Having breakthroughs in kumae bo. :) no. 5 in particular. Didn't notice till it was pointed out to me today that the block and counter are both done at 45 degree angles relative to the starting position. It's much more effective that way! Anyways, kumae bo 1-5 was second half of class. First half was basics no. 10-15.

tonite-1.5 hours ballet. Had some minor breakthroughs, which was good. Lots of combinations in allegro and adagio. Sautes of various types. Pique and chaines turns. Not sure why, but it never clicked with me before that piques have to start with a long stretch of the lead leg.
