Well... I didn't want to say... It feels different from playing at 30fps. Couldn't imagine going back now I've gotten used to it though.
I'm playing both at the moment, Witcher on PS4 and Fallout on Xbox. Have to say the latest Xbox update is rather good, it's nice and fast and a lot cleaner in look. Also I'm playing Gears of War 3 and Judgement on it via backwards compatibility. One happy gamer here.
In case of the guys I train kickboxing with remembers it, I will get borrowed "The Witcher 3" on Ps4. He already mentioned that I need to keep it a while, because "... 200 hours..." I started "Sniper Elite 3" a couple of days ago, but had to stop after the first mission for the moment (time...). Looking forward to continue the game tonight after training.
Yeah I'm not sold on Dogmeat just yet. Barely know he's there most of the time except to get a pop up telling me he's found something with no way of knowing where he actually is. DD in MGS V is so far winning the competition for best dog by a large margin
Black Ops 3 on PC. The game in terms of content and game play is fantastic. 4 Player Co Op Campaign, customizable weapons and classes for campaign cool. Hidden Nightmares Zombies Campaign. Very cool. Shadows of Evil zombie map, awesome. Great easter egg, very wacky, great map. Multiplayer, similar in some senses to BO2 and the MW series. + Points over the previous series, guns are more balanced, the new "specialist" class system is a nice touch. The Giant zombie map. Oh wow the nostalgia. Content, and fun awesome. Issue: Some systems and configurations are highly unoptimised leading in laggy play, stutter and frame drops along some other issues. (Some high end systems are getting memory leaks and 100% cpu usage for no apparent reason, mine included.) First game ever to put 100% load on all 8 threads of my i7 2600k overclocked at 4.6ghz, GTA 5 and MGS 5 on Ultra didn't even scratch 60%. Also the first game ever which used 12gb of Ram... Constantly. These issues have now been partially addressed and more fixes on the way. But all in all, really enjoying it now. Fallout 4, I'm tempted but after asking a few friends, all said the same thing "go play NV instead" wait for a sale. And Kudos to Treyarch for listening to the community. Lag meters, connection meteres, 50% to 200% 3d render resolutions, FOV slider upto 120, and the highly customizable graphics and settings is highly impressive. Also, MODs and Dedicated servers are coming back! (First since WAW I think).
Of course he didn't even mentioned the game and I'm too tired to keep playing "Sniper Elite 3" tonight. So that probably means: Sunday. I did play, however, "Whispering Willows", a short adventure game. Not as spooky as I hoped after reading a few comments and not really something special, but not a bad game either. I do admit though, I'm very glad I got in in a sale, otherwise I would be disappointed. I did like the feature, that the controller makes some noises. I had that first with "Dead Nation" and looked like an idiot at the controller (I didn't remember it could do that; now writing this, I think "Alien" did it too).
Obviously still playing Fallout, the companion AI and path finding is a little annoying but overall the game has been pretty stable for me. Other than that my other half surprised me with Gears of War Ultimate Edition on Friday, so I'm up to my neck in games.
Fallout 4. Two hours of base building, including using the weapon glitch to get around size constrains. What happens? I build a fantastic base, a veritable Stark tower. Stepping back I look up at my creation from the second storey and bask in its post apocalyptic glory. I then promptly fall off the roof, realising on the way down that not only wasn't I wearing power armour but also I hadn't saved in the last two hours. Bollocks.
Whilst I was away recently, Rise of the Tomb Raider for the xBox 360 turned up. I don't remember ordering and I'm not even sure it was coming out on the 360. Yet it's sitting there, staring at me.
Wait, the game is released already? I didn't even realized that the game is out already for MS. Being a Playstation-player (mostly; I do own and like the 360 as well!) I totally forgot, that the game releases on Ps4 quite a while later. Play it! You know you want to!
Still hammering away on Halo 5. Just completed it solo on legendary, an actual accomplishment as Warden eternal is a nightmare so now i'm pretty much achievment hunting. Baza
Can't say anything about it due to the NDA but I'm playing the Doom Closed Alpha. Oh and still on Fallout 4, I think I'm hooked.
Just started flexing my fingers over "Transformers Devastation" on the PS4. It's pretty good, feels like "Bayonetta" or "DMC". However, "Star Wars Battlefront" is also demanding some face time...
