ONE Women’s Atomweight World Championship

Angela Lee is the daughter of my very first Martial Arts instructors when I trained in Hap Do Sool. I remember when she was a baby, and used to crawl around on our dojo mats.

The match is the most exciting MMA fight I have ever seen. Both women are incredible fighters.

 

Atom weight? That's very light!


Seriously though, well done to her

 

She's only nineteen as well. I predict she's going to be very well-known in a few years.

 

Best WMMA fight I've seen. Crazy stuff.

 

I've always been impressed when I've seen her fight.

 

That's an amazingly technical match!

 

A lot of the credit for the quality of this match goes for the differences in the rule set for One FC, from what I understand the judges don't award people just for being on top, they award people more for submission attempts and activity. That's why you end up in these epic looking scrambles from one submission to another and to another. I honestly think this is the direction MMA should take.

 

Also head kicks to a grounded opponent make it waaaay more interesting.

 

Great to watch, damaging to fight under.
