Isolated exercises, yah or nah?

    AndrewTheAndroid A hero for fun.

I am weightlifting again and was wondering what the general consensus is on isolated exercises vs compound exercises. Right now I only do compound but I am thinking of adding in a few iso's.

Both are useful for different things. Not a whole lot to say other than to generally keep them strict and light for the most part, else it defeats the purpose. Delt and lat isos in particular (pullovers, raises, pulldowns behind the neck and such), done very strict, can help strengthen the rotator cuff, which is vital for shoulder health.

You mean there are other exercises beyond bicep curls and cable crossovers 0_0
