WOW, thanks. I am a troll because I don't see the humor? I just don't see the humor. It looked serious to me, so how is it parody? Show me, the humor?! That is what I have been asking? SNL is parody, and it is funny. This was neither, yet you say it is parody? I have asked repeatedly for the smarter here to show stupid me how it is a funny parody. EDIT, especially since she already has names on the list.

The humor lies in the fact that there is basically no chance of passing a white male registry despite their overrepresentation in certain crimes. In fact that registry is viewed as hateful. A registry of muslims, based on a perceived overrepresentation in certain crimes, is part of the president elect's platform. The satire highlights the fact that the ostensible logic is the same in both circumstances and yet it is only the minority group that is legislated against.

Yea, I saw his explanation and gave him a thanks for it.

Philosoraptor, you said perceived overrepresentation of Muslims in crime. Does that account for the recent spate of mass sexual assaults in Europe? I am asking honestly, because I can only go based on what I have seen on the MSM. It just looks like with all those refugees pouring in, that a good number of them are sexually assaulting people. Like at the German Festival. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...usic-festival-cologne-darmstadt-a7057416.html

That is usually the first thing my side cites when advocating against letting in more from Islamic countries. So I was hoping someone could show me what is really up. Is there really a increase in sexual assaults related to the immigrants or is it coincidental.

Also, you said over representation of whites. My question is, does that hold true if we take out Hispanics? NOT a racist question as apparently a large number of them are registering on the census as white. I ask this question this way, as again this is something I have heard people on my side say. That if you take the white Hispanics out of the data, whites(Caucasians) are not the most crime prone/violent.

I wont be surprised if it is true, given that whites are the dominant majority, and thusly likely to commit more crimes just based on numbers of them alone.

Statistically having more of one population doesnt increase the chances of a member of that population comitting a crime.

Hows that? That seems counter intuitive. Still does that address the link, or the assertion that Muslim immigrants are committing more sexual assaults then natives currently. That is what I am trying to get at. The truth behind the assaults.

The chance if comitting a crime is usually expressed as a percentage, so that's how many out of 100.

if its a 1% risk its 1 out of 100, or 6 out of 600, the risk is the same.

Having more of a population does increase the total amount of any of that population comitting a crime, but that number on its own is not really usefull in assessing risk.

Now as refugees make up a very recent and small amount of people, and the sex crime issue is hard to prosecute, the stats won't be particularly revealing.

So if that is your main issue, how do you feel about refugee children and women?

Syrians are statistically less likely to commit crimes in Germany than Germans, and the crime rate for Germany is way below the US crime rate. So it is the Syrian refugees who should be scared of Americans committing crimes against them, not the other way around!

Don't lump all Muslim countries together just because the majority of them share a holy book. You wouldn't be scared about an Italian person shooting-up a school or church on a murder spree just because most Italians share the same holy book as Americans, would you?

The fact that republicans are so concerned about muslim terrorism (something that, in the grand scheme of things and with due respect to the dead, hasn't killed that many people in the US) while advocating for widespread ownership of guns (something that kills many people every day) is utterly baffling to me.
If American's really want to address risk then it's the people next door that are just like them that are the danger no?

Typical liberal European scum! You wouldn't understand because you're a socialist, just like Hitler.

    Here's quite a good guide, but it's a little sweary: http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/explaining-americas-love-of-guns-to-british-people

The resources I have found said that no, there is not a link between immigrants and a rise in sexual assault: https://eucenter.scrippscollege.edu/wp-content/uploads/files//2016/03/Davis-and-Vidler-Paper.pdf

From what I've read, white men make up most mass shooters and serial killers. Offhand, I can think of a lot of reasons why this might be that's related more to demography and socio-economic factors than any biological difference between whites and any other ethnicity, but yeah, there you go.

I'd also like to advance the notion that torture, secret prisons, extrajudicial killings, religious registries, and denying immigration can increase terrorism and radicalize a population.
