I assume its a tongue in cheek name. Tomato Can is the (derogatory) term for fighters, who are basically rubbish...and are usually fed to other fighters who have strong potential. Tomato Can...as in, full of red juice when opened. Also referred to "He's a can"
I have noticed a trend that a lot of kicks from Tae Kwon Do that used to be laughed at are starting to make their way back into use after fighters with that background started hard sparring to perfect them.
These kicks have been in use for years, they're just not commonly used because of the risk factor and energy use. Even I use them in K1 Rules Kickboxing and Muay Thai.
I've just found a link through Twitter which shows this as the very first move in the fight (if you can call it that). http://www.cagepotato.com/knockout-...ne-stanleys-five-second-jumping-hook-kick-ko/ [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSUaOh_QJAQ"]1st round, 5 second spinning heel kick KO - YouTube[/ame]
I've been caught a few times using that particular kick, first time i landed it on someones arm was alot different to landing it on a pad or bag. I completely lost my balance, still i am encouraged to keep trying it. Baza
