Just spending some spare time on YouTube, have been watching a few Hontai Yoshin Ryu videos. There are lots of differences between the kata performed and Hontai Takagi Yoshin Ryu, but also quite a few common elements. What I found interesting was the way kata seemed to be named, difficult to make out the Japanese but what I could make out seemed to suggest the kata are all named after the attack uke is applying, rather than the varied kata names I'm used to in HTYR. I've tried looking at this further, but can't find any info on these kata beyond the section names, eg Nage no Kata, Gyaku no Kata, etc.. Is anyone on here able to help me out with a kata list for this system?
