Though I don't really enjoy the process of traveling, discovering new places is always awesome. Places visited in the past 3 years: * Barcelona * French Riviera * Yellowstone * Jackson hole * Northern Cal * SoCal * Seattle & central Washington * Chicago * Jamaica * Grand Cayman * Miami * Clearwater, FL * McCall, Sun valley & Craters of the Moon, ID * New York City * Salt Lake * Puerto rico * Sayulita & Puerto Vallarta, Mex In late May gf and I are visiting Montreal for a weekend and this summer we're going to Zion & Bryce national parks in UT before going to Denver for a wedding. Love adding pins to my map.
http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/i-fo...the-world-became-a-celebr?utm_term=.ux0eD9v9P every once in a while, you find something that does not, in fact, make you angry and bitter, but rather brings you joy. this is one of those things (and perfectly illustrates why i am fully in favour of globalization ). i have now named my new pillars of eternity character 'brother orange' in honour of this
Strange call today and still not sure of the outcome. Had a call from a guy asking I teach boxing. I explained that art was heavily influenced by boxing, but included other arts. He told me he wanted to learn from a coach who knew what he was doing, as someone wanted to box him. I asked him if this was an arranged street fight, and if so I want interested. He told me that wasn't the case and that he could look after himself in that respect (I'd like a pound for every time I'd been told that). He asked if I did private tuition and seemed happy with my fees. I was at work, so rather busy and still being slightly suspicious I told him to Google boxing clubs in Maidstone, but to call me back if he didn't find what he was looking for. Strange. Doesn't belong to a boxing gym and isn't having a street fight, but has someone who wants to box him.
this is way cool: http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...ce-themed-expansion-to-benefit-women-in-stem/ also, greg, pics or it didn't happen
I took the kids for a walk in the country and we spotted an adder, the UK's only breed of poisonous snake. We stood just a couple of feet and watched it for about 5 minutes or so as it shed its skin. We even managed to bring the old skin home as a souvenir! A brilliant experience for the kids and a cool momento too. Here it is, 55cm of adder skin
We were looking for grass snakes at the local RSPB reserve , but no luck. On the plus side I saw my first wild avocets , which was pretty good
