What would you do with Vehicles that you can't without? I've had servers on the MOD, with helis bases and plenty of vehicles. I still prefer the SA. If you decide to run to a village in a straight line for some reason. That's a choice you made. That's not how I play. Bandit hunting and clan wars are immense fun. After acquiring all the gear you need and losing it all can be a lot of fun too. M4a1s only spawn at crash helis now, temperature and vehicles have started spawning. But you can't fix them yet.
Transport is a big problem in the game. Most of the time when I stop a DayZ session it's because I have just realized that I have spent about 75% of my time holding down W while scanning the horizon for bandits and zombies. With some decent transport there is the ability to move around and find people faster plus noise which attracts people and zombies, plus resources worth fighting over (let's face it if you have the gear needed to rob someone of their tin of beans then you probably don't need the tin of beans). Fun stuff can happen through Banditry and various feuds, but those are really rare occurrences if you just want to log on and play. I have about 38 hours logged on it and at the moment the only memories I have is running around scavenging. Eventually finding everything I need and then deliberately running towards places like Electro and praying that something interesting would happen so that I would have reason to use the stuff that I had collected. There just isn't enough content in the game at this stage for me to recommend it. You spawn, avoid some zombies, find clothes, find a backpack, find a decent hand weapon, find better clothes and backpack, find a ranged weapon and then runaround trying to find something of interest. Don't get me wrong there are loads of possibilities in the game, but the way it plays at the moment ensures that those possibilities are very rarely realized. If base building, crafting and farming become bigger aspects then that will bring with it settlements and I think that's where the really exciting stuff will happen.
Interesting game. Currently the monster controls feel clunky and sluggish but the concept is a good one and being the monster is a lot of fun. It's not a case of running in there and killing everyone but more a case of stalking and picking people off one by one before retreating to heal and evolve. Hunters feel more fluid and have a good range of skills. There's big wait times right now to get onto matches and the odd bit of lag but I'm assuming that will be sorted after this alpha. One thing I like is that you can set prioritories for which class you want to be and the game will try and fit you into a match where they need your first choice and then go to the next choice and so on if it can't find one.
Evolve is one i'm not too sure about, i think it'll be fun but don't know how long it would hold my interest. Doesn't seem there is a lot to do in it although to be fair i haven't been tracking it. Baza
I think it might end up along the lines of Titanfall, good game and fun for quick blasts but they'll need to ensure there's enough modes.
X-Com: Enemy Unknown. Got myself a free Steam key off a promotion some time back and finally got around to playing it. Lovely audio and visuals, things going boom, things going bang, great gameplay in the tactical portion, and fairly inobtrusive - for now at least - management part. I'm hooked.
There's a game I need to go back to playing again, it was a lot of fun. ===== Re-playing Splinter Cell: Conviction. Loving it. Also loving/hating the fact my "stealth" missions usually involve me smashing in doors, executing everyone with the noisiest weapon I can find, throwing grenades everywhere and generally not being stealthy at all.
Yes for about 1hr this evening, 2nd boss is a challenge... argh Definitely has that Souls game vibe to it.
Yeah he's a pain in the **** at first isn't he? So I've blew 70 quids worth of Game points today. Got Lords of the Fallen for PS4 and I've pre-ordered Dragon Age Inquisition. Lords is good, bit glitchy despite a 4gig patch! It definitely has the Souls feeling to it with a couple of twists, the minions seem easier but the boss battles feel tighter with better timing and distancing needed than in Souls. Overall though it's a little more accessible than Souls without sacrificing the difficult aspects. Oh and you can pause the damn game! Always been a major pain for me in the Souls games. Edit: my son has just beaten that second boss on his first go and with about one hit point left, talk about edge of your seat stuff.
Going through the Dragon's Age Origin DLC at the moment on the 360 and looking to install the Graphic mods on Morrowind tomorrow on the PC after souping up my unit at home, looks impressive from what I have seen and I have a GOY Morrowind pack just gathering dust at the moment. Really looking forward to DA Inquisition, not sure if to get this on Xbox or next gen when I get round to it as want this on console...
I hear if you like dark souls you will think it a bit easy but still god, however if you love dark souls (like i do) you may be dissapointed
Destiny, i know its repetitive, i know its a grind, but the gunplay is so tight, and thats coming from a not really halo fan, so far level 28 warlock, if anyone fancies the raid on ps4, zombiekicker psn id
There's now a giant palm mark on my monitor. Thanks, Slothy. :woo: Ha! I just did my first terror mission, saved half the number of civilians I was supposed to, and produced some extra bald patches on my head to complement the training-induced one at the top. But freaking heck, it's been a long time since playing a game felt this exhiliarating. Bah! Stealth is for people who can't aim.
Happy to help There's one that gets used on Youtube that looks just like the standard shape of a person you see with peoples' profiles, except they have a spider on the screen over the shoulder. The amount of times I want to hit it... It's really exciting, isn't it? It's been a while since I played it and I was doing really well, generally saving most people, losing very few except the odd specialist I was really fond of . Then there was one mission where IIRC you have to save a certain number of civilians but there was a crap ton of Chryssalids on different levels. I swear I lost so many hairs on that one. Worth it though Going through another game first though but that's definitely on my list to play again. Haha! I like your style . The worst part is I really try to be good and stealthy but I swear this game encourages you to murder everyone.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Multiplayer- Played few hours on Launch, and couple more today after work. Immense fun. Jet packs (exo skeletons) great addition. Smooth gameplay good graphics.
Back to Fallout 3, making things go all explodey. Level 4 with explosive skill 85, hehehehe nothing lives. Baza
