Awesome passion and technique from BHop but it is all for Boxing which as MMA shows is only 1 part of striking
Well maybe...I think there are general principles there too and obviously like anything you draw from it what you want.
Add kick checking and you're golden Circling, counter-circling, counter-striking, entering your opponent's guard, minimising target profile, protecting your jaw... All things that can be applied when using the legs as weapons.
Cheers for posting, I am going to have to watch that a few times over to fully grasp everything... Agree with David. This is gold dust.
There not videos, and a lot and of it is about striking in MMA, but foundations are foundation. http://fightland.vice.com/author/jack-slack All jacks articles are bang on the money.
http://m.youtube.com/#/channel/UCl3zMJRgefZm7ELHkIp-xDA I've just found his YouTube channel with kick boxing, k1 etc breakdowns on. Great stuff!
Jack Slack is due to be on the Rogan podcast next year iirc. Can't wait to hear him in person because is one of the best analysts out there. Connor Reubusch on Bloody Elbow is damn good too. He's really showing the finer points of boxing, distance, counters etc.
Jack's article on Anthony Pettis's kicks was a good read too. Nice to see someone outside TKD and karate breaking kicks down like that.
Jack Slack is a dyed in the wool jka karateka and goes to Japan regularly to train. He's done plenty of articles on karate in mma.
These are great and also contain absolute gold, like the Hopkins clips. The film study's by Wilson are the best I have personally come across so far.
