from yesterday's adventures- So, I setup to do front squats, as I have for many months with 0 problems. I step back to do the motion, but skid on the sole of my shoe slightly. (never happened before! ZOMG!) This causes my body to whip back an inch or so. Suddenly, sharp pain emanates from the left scapula area. I re-rack and find myself in a world of pain back there. :bang: Heat pad and arnica have helped, but is there anything else I should do?
Doctor. Seems obvious, but if pain persists you should get help from someone who knows what they're doing.
RICE & NSAIDs for 48 hours, avoid exercising the injury site for 2 weeks. Visit your doctor if pain persists.
Rest, ice, compression and elevation. http://www.uhs.wisc.edu/health-topics/muscles-and-bone/rice.shtml
Update: fully recovered without having to go to the physio. Had some gym shenannigans this morning, too.
