Hi just wondering if anyone has actually met the late founder of TaeKwon Do, General Choi Hong Hi, if so what was he like, did he give you any advice? etc, I'm sure a lot of people would want to know your experiences with the great Master.

Regarless of all the status, propoganda, recognition, etc. General Choi was so humble that he was refered to as merely "Choi Sabum" by his studens...he possesed an unparalleled charisma and motivational quality. A true leader!

Please refer to the bulletin board at www.itf-information.com "Favorite moments with the Founder"

I believe you would find this true of many of the early masters. Hwang Kee was also a very gentle and humble man from all accounts. He was a thinker and developed his Kwan through thought and not just bullish action.

The very idea of TKD originallly was a wonderful thing. Imagine men such as Master Choi and Master Kee combining their efforts in unison! Unfortunately they all had students that would get politically involved and squash the principle of the idea.
