I think my keyboard is bust. Quite simply, when I press the R key I get '9r'. If I use caps I get '(R'. When I press the F key I get 'lf'. It happens in browsers and documents. Is my keyboa9rd bust o9r is something mo9re dubious going on?!?
Not knowing the fault try the off/on method then try your keyboard in another PC or another keyboard in yours? Any function buttons on the keyboard that may of been pressed accidentally?
Yeah - Tried the on/off method. It's a laptop. I've tried the "onscreen keyboard" (?) and that works fine. Have to try another keyboard. Have one around somewhere.
I have one that typed nonsense due to a button being accidentally pressed? No idea how/why or were, somebody else did A laptop specific question on Google might shed some light
Searched around on Google and haven't found any answers. I've messed around with the num lock but that hasn't helped any.
Think a cheap mini-keyboard is needed. My laptop is a bit knackered anyway, but I am only working part time at the moment so don't want to buy a new one. Delete key is a good work around.
