Oh man... Iroh :[ So very, very many great character moments. I wound up reading the comics to find out what happened to Zuko's mom. :[
Re watching Silicon Valley 1-3. Just beginning 3, man I love these geeks. And a few of the hip hop/ electro tracks they play on the credits are crazy sick, toward end of 2 and first episode of 3. I've had to play them back 2-3 times.. I think I might download and try Shazam on them some are that good. My favourite character has to be Erlich Bachmann.
I started Korra, flipping back and forth between it and Daredevil season 1. Too early to have an opinion but ... I kinda miss the drums and flute theme music. It's just not quite "Avatar" to me, not quite, without that hauntingly beautiful music. :dunno:  edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3gt5LjU1ZE
Right, I've given 'Rick and Morty' another go, and it's actually pretty good. It is extremely inventive and clever, and also laugh out loud funny in parts.
Oh snap - I've been counting down the days for this, and now that it is upon us, I completely forgot about it!!! Thanks for the reminder...
Other than the choreography and acting of the lead I quite enjoyed Iron Fist... Trying Luke Cage, but finding it a little slower going.
Last episode of the "Into the badlands" was very good! Most of the times I find it a little cheesy, but episode 6 was for some season is the one I enjoyed the most so far. Bajie's presence has added a lot in the show.
LOL, that makes me laugh. "Other than the bad acting and the bad kung-fu in the kung-fu tv show, it's a good tv show." I also thought Luke Cage was too slow, but the in-fighting between the gangsters, and their individual struggles, was interesting. Same with Fisk in "Daredevil" -- we get to see their personal life history, so as to understand their motivation for doing what they're doing. Nice.
I enjoyed the other aspects of the show. Long lost presumed dead billionare returns, character dynamics with old friends, the hand, falling in love with the enemy, questioning loyalties, Madame Gao to name a few.
If Badlands can get a half decent fight scene out of Nick Frost then Iron Fist has some serious explaining to do.
Wait to see him in the next episode of Badlands. http://www.spoilersguide.com/into-the-badlands/season-2-episode-7-black-heart-white-mountain-promo/
Just last night I started on 'Into the Badlands'. I've had it on my watchlist for a while, but never got round to it, and I sort of always dismissed it as 'one to watch when I've exhausted everything else'. HOW WRONG WAS I? I'm only a couple of episodes in and I am hooked. I can't wait to see how this series progresses.
Whoa, I've been saying the same thing. "Eh, I'll try it next week. Or next month." I might have to push it up the calendar now!
Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised. I figured I'd start it, fully expecting to "watch it" whilst web browsing on my tablet or playing games on my phone, before finally removing it from my watchlist halfway through the season. It has forced me to put down all of my handheld devices and stare at the TV screen. Admittedly, there is some cheese in there, acting isn't Oscar worthy but the actors do enough to sell the story for me, and the fight scenes are pretty good. Very "movie fu" but that's to be expected.
Just starting Designated Survivor (aka Jack Bauer becomes President) Still waiting for him to go ninja and Jack Bauering people. Interesting series so far. Kal Penn spreading his serious acting wings and also being the show's consultant, as he worked for Pres. Obama for a while. Shout out to Maggie Q
I'm up to date on this so far, it is a really good show. At the start, yeah I expected him to Jack Bauer all the terrorists, but now I totally buy him as the Pres. Also, I agree, Kal Penn is just great. I've always liked him (I mean who doesn't like Harold and Kumar, right?), in 'House' he was awesome. In other news, I have finished both seasons of 'Into the Badlands'. Fantastic.
I started watching The Last Kingdom yesterday, and really enjoyed it. It has a much stronger narrative drive than Vikings.
