Just thought I'd share with you guys, WWE Superstar, former NCAA champion and UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will be performing in MSG this Saturday. It's only showing on the WWE Network though.
SO glad he is in wrestling and not in the UFC anymore. Couldn't stand the guy and his bringing that weird fake wrestling persona into MMA.
I loved him in UFC, tbf. But I'm a huge wrestling fan, so I get a kick out of that sort of behavior. It sold a lot of tickets ;-)
Yeah, no offense but him bringing that fake wrestling stuff/ mentality into MMA is exactly why I hated him being in the UFC. That attitude belongs in wrestling- WWE or whatever. Keep it out of MMA!
Maybe I've just been punched in the head too many times but I genuinely don't recall him ever having a 'fake WWE persona' in MMA... I just remember him resembling a genetically mutated super baby and being a machine. Not that I'm especially a fan of his as a fighter or otherwise.
Kimo Tank Tito Its nothing new. Didnt start with Brock, wont end with Connor The theatre sells- has been a part of fighting for years I love Brock in UFC and WWE personally
Heels sell tickets. Tito wasn't the first trash talker either (Ali made it famous) but Tito rationalised it the best..and I'm paraphrasing. "My fans buy tickets to see me win, haters buy to see me lose" All fight business is entertainment at some level. Ironically PRIDE FC was probably the most theatrical with their entertainment, entrances and promos...yet they were the ones closest to Vale Tudo for the MMA "purists"
In the ufc's defence, it's far easier to be theatrical when you already know what the result is going to be
