Misty in roots ; one of my favourite homegrown uk reggae acts , regulars on the festival scene in the 80's . Was reminded of them yesterday as they were being plugged as part of a radio 6 music event in bristol , playing today . Elton John - Tumbleweed Connection This is a great Early Elton CD. At this time he and Bernie Taupin were writing and recording more in the early 70's singer/songwriter style than the pop/rock style that they would soon evolve into. This album was heavy on the American old west theme. The only hit is Burn down the mission, but this re-issue CD also has madman Across The Water, which would be the title song of his next album. Also some nice ballads, come down in time, love song, and Amoreena. The song that stood out to me this time around was My Fathers Gun. Overall a great CD. Waylon Jennings - 16 Biggest Hits Not a huge Country Fan, but I do like the Outlaw. Good Hearted Woman, Luckenbach Texas, Mammas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys, Good ol' Boys(Dukes of Hazzard theme....Yee Haw)
