My friend's 12 year old son is interested in the FMA. Ever since his visit to the Philippines, he has been asking his mum about our indigenous arts. I have tried asking Pat The Cat about the availability of teachers in that area but he has told me that there was an exodus of sorts of FMA instructors from NZ.

Can anyone shed any light on where the young man can seek out his roots in that area?

    Much appreciated.

I don't have contact details, there is Jim Smith one of Danny Guba's instructors in Wellington.

There's no contact details for him on the Guba Doce Pares site but you can contact the Guba Doce Pares Council who would hopefully be able to provide you with contact details! There email is:

    GubaDoceParesIntl@virginmedia.com

    Hope that helps!

Thank you. I sent them a line. I hope they can help. I am told that the young man in question just won his nationals under GRK. He is 13 and eager to learn FMA.
