about flexibility

    hello guys i am a 20 years old guy just started tae kwon do 1 week ago.

    i was curious if i can still get high flexibility ( i mean can i open my legs to 180 if i train goodly ) because lots of people say its limited to me since i didnt do that since i am a child

    Those people are wrong.

    You can improve your flexibility at ANY age.

    They are lying to you or are just clueless

    Our resident stretch expert Van Zandt has a great entry here on MAP on flexibility. Like everything it will not come overnight, but it will come with effort

    The legends above me are both spot on.

    There is some truth to limitations if you didn't stretch as a child.

    Your rate of progress will be slower but your potential for gains will be unaffected.

    You could even go beyond 180° if you wanted to.

    i dont care how many years it will take i wont give up i just want to get the highest flexibility
