Hojo Undo Equipment

    Please let us know how you made the hojo undo equipment, when you do make them. I would love to make my own Kongoken, but have two left hands. :)

    Kongoken aren't too difficult to make at least if you're feeling slightly adventurous:

    I've made a chi ishi the same way Mitch made it (his post was the one that drew me to MAP in the first place actually) and it does work very well.

    Makiage kigu are so simply I don't think they really need an instruction guide as such. Mine was just a round, chunky bit of wood, some rope, a couple of old dumbbells I no longer use and a lot of duct tape.

    You can also use very light kettle bells for ishi sashi if needs be, they work just as well.
