I want to become Champ of Moscow, Russia by January 2018.

Please Watch Video of my Sparring Simulation Shadowboxing. Link to Video here - https://youtu.be/LLAQJtoEZUU Please give me advice. I accept all criticism. Please say all you feel of where I need improvement. I appreciate it greatly!

What do I need to do in order to achieve success? My goal is to be Muay Thai champion of Russia by year 2020. I may transition into MMA afterwards, maybe compete recreationally, not professionally. But I think I will stop competing altogether and focus on my career and do basketball and tennis for fun and general wellbeing.

I am a Russian-American. I live in Moscow, Russia. I trained in Boxing from the year of 2008-2010. I only had a few Muay Thai lessons, so I don’t know the correct technique for kicking. I am 27 years old. I don’t have a lot of time to invest in my training because I am focused on 2 business projects and other work. In a few weeks, I will have money to pay for trainers and Muay Thai training gyms.

***Please share Master Toddy’s Training Secrets DVD’s. I only have one of his volume*** I am a self-help coach. I can a give free 30 minute FaceTime Consultation in exchange. I specialise in wealth attraction and general success in all areas of life.

Also if anyone who has training materials from Mike Tyson's trainers, such as Cus D'Amato willing to share with me I would be really thankful of you'd send me the materials.

Where are the best places online for learning Muay Thai?

I need training workouts to do at home at the moment. I will sign up to Muay Thai gym near me next month once I get paid.

I need help with the books part. I need something that will be inspiring and also something that really explains perfect technique in an easy to understand context.

My materials I will use for training:

    - Master Toddy Training Secrets Vol 4. - Knees and Pads

You need to get yourself to a gym mate, those kicks are...unconventional and your boxing defence occasionally leaves you open to a knee up the middle.

No online tutorial is going to fix either of those things, a coach and a gym full of training partners are the only thing that can.

If you want success bad enough you will find a way to pay for it. Training with a qualified coach is the only way you will succeed in fighting. Training at home will do nothing. If you want to wait a month then start working on fitness now, running, sit ups, push ups etc.

    You see the problem?

That online training won't help much, was already mentioned.
You can read all you want, but that won't teach you how to actually *do* something.

Going purely by the numbers, you need to be putting in 25+ hours a week with high level trainers and partners to be as good as you say you want to be.

Movements too big. You're too stiff. Too much low head movement. Too much hand movement.

I could go on to be honest.

Get yourself into a proper gym. Training from home is just going to see you get hurt when you go up against someone who is training properly.

    Mod note:
Ah ok, edited/ fixed thread title to reflect correct date.

Less than a year is a rather unrealistic goal still. I would advise OP to set realistic goals if he is serious.

And training under a qualified instructor with this being his priority would be a must. Sounds like he has several projects going on. Which if fine, but one needs lots of training time to want to compete with success.

As much as I applaud your enthusiasm as others have stated you need to get to a gym and get some formal training. Shadow boxing will only get you so far and without a coach you will ingrain bad habits that will be hard to correct further down the line.

You are not turning on your supporting foot blocking the hip rotation on your kicks making them weak and you need to relax more.

Have you looked at what gyms are available in your area?

Pretty much agree with most comments - you can't learn martial arts at home lol. This is absurd. Sparring is everything...techniques are not as important as learning to relax, gauging distance and timing strikes under pressure which could only be achieved by sparring, sparring and full contact sparring....

if you can afford dvds and books you can afford gym fees.

    1) make money
    2) train in a real gym
    3) see 1)

thank you for your advice. I like the last post;i appreciate it! I'm leaving to Miami this saturday from Moscow my home city. Im working as a stock broker. Getting better at cold calling. Hopefully I can make money selling stocks and get a Muay Thai gym membership 10 minutes away walking distance from my house.

By the way I was born on septmeber 5th. My zodiac has difficulty with grounding creativity. The realistic judgment is what I need to work on. I fantasised about making that money it didn't happen 90 days later. I lost my job because I got too deep into the Jewish religion and started thinking I can hear God and seeing him in my mind. This caused OCD like anxiety and intrusive thoughts. My friend told me you have to stop religion. I stopped and the OCD went away and I got hired to a new job the next day. I got fired by day two because I pretended to be sick one day and got zero emails after 150 calls. I have a business project which can make me money but I don't want to borrow money for investing into my business. I want to make the startup capital myself.

IN the book "Do the Work" the author recommends keeping 100% ownership of your business so that you can make decisions independently of shareholders.

I'm glad you've had help with your depression and are "cured", but we would urge anyone wanting help to seek professional help.

    Not light on your feet.
    Footwork isnt there.
Too stiff throwing them punches and those strikes are boxing punches not Muay Thai. Muay Thai punches keep a bent arm to avoid being dragged in.
Your jab tends to drop now and then.

Just a few hints tbh, you need a jood thai coach.
