Hi all just to up date you, we have a change to the line up for the 2nd British FMA Festival, and it is looking good as we have interest from others outside the UK who wish to visit this unique event. the line up is now:

INSTRUCTOR LINE UP:

Punong Guro Jun Pueblos - Lameco Eskrima

Punong Guro Peter Lewis - Bakbakan & Zu'bu Kali Ilustrisimo

Tuhon Pat O'Malley - Rapid Arnis & San Miguel Eskrima

Master Steve Tappin - Escrima Concepts

Guro Alan Jones - Balintawak Arnis

Master Jay Dobrin - B.I.F.F.

Master Shaun Porter - Lightning Scientific Arnis

Dayang Lucy O'Malley - Doce Pares Original Multi Style & Rapid Arnis

Guro Eric Amada - Mordern Arnis

Guro Neil McLeod - Inosanto / Lacoste Kali Blend

We have also re-evaluated the event and because of the popularity of this unique event we have droppped the entry fee to; £60 for 2 day's and £40 for one day (booked in advance). This should make it more accessable to more people, especially first timmers who are not sure which FMA style they wish to choose.

Where else in the UK can you get 10 top Eskrimadors (outside the PI) representing 12 different styles at such a low price.

Also we will be donating at least 20% of all proceedings to a worthy charity in the Philippines.

There is also a buffet in the evening and a chance to meet and talk with all these top Masters of the FMA.

If you wish to pay by Credit Card, this must be done in advance as CC payments will not be taken on the day.

Be there or miss what has to be the biggest and best FMA event the UK has ever had.

YBIFMA

Pat

With less than a week to go, I have just had some great news:

Grand Master Brian Jones will be attending the FMA Festival as a guest of honour.

For those of you that don't know, GM Brian Jones had the very first Eskrima club in the UK and Europe and he as they say set the ball rolling for FMA on this side of the pond over 40 years ago.

He is comming to lend his support to the British Council and its objectives.

Thumbs up Thank you all

I would like to personally thank all 10 instructors for putting on a fine display or FMA and it's various styles, all instructors gave up their weekend to teach at this event for free and conducted themselves admirably showing that regardless of style we can come together in a non profit, non ego and non politcal manner. A truely historical event for FMA in the UK and Europe.

And to the 50 plus attendees many comming from all over the UK as well as Germany, Belgium, Italy and with a special thanks to the 'Crazy Irish' (you guys kept us all entertained all weekend all the instructors thought you guys were the best thing of the whole weekend) I also thank all the participants for making this a wonderfull weekend, it was great to see all the smiling faces of so many people who were eager to try out all the styles on offer.

Every has already stated that they will be at next years FMA Festival which is already looking to be bigger an better.

Next years British FMA Festival will be hosted by Master Alan Jones of Balintawak in the Nottingham area and is slated to be in the 1st or 2nd week in June 2008.

More information on next years event and a report of this years event will apear soon in Combat Magazine, FMA Digest and of course on the British Council of Kali Eskrima Arnis Instructors web site www.bckeai.co.uk

Once again thanks for your support and confidence in the British Council and the FMA Festival.

Crazy??

I'll have you know I resemble that remark!!

The Festival was an amazing event superbly run by the British Council. The Wild Geese enjoyed participating and you can rely on our support for future events.

I gotta say meeting and training under Brian Jones was an honour. Realising that that man is responsible for the phenonemal talents of Pat O'Malley, Steve Tappin and Jay Dobrin, as well as paving the way for all the other instructors.

Can't wait for next year
