Well, he has finally been tried and found guilty.Just wondered what people think about this and its consequences ? Quite a momentous decision and occasion.

He got what he deserved, I just feel sorry for the people and soldiers there that are going to have to deal with chaos and a greater level of violence at this decision.

Things will be even more unpleasant for a time.

They should have let him rot in an Iraq jail with the bare minimum of facilities for the rest of his days.

How can a humane society condemn someone for killing - then punish them by killing?

I agree with Yoda, lock him up for the rest of his life and let him rot. Personally, I think life in jail is alot worse then getting killed.

They still hang people with a crane? Now that is a nasty way to go.

We're not a humane society though. And Iraq certainly isn't.

And there maybe lies the root of the problem.

stick him is a jail cell with no windows never to be heard from again would be far less provocative than hanging him. They've just given the insurgents another reason to continue the violence

You're kidding me right?

They'll continue whether he's dead or if he was left alive in a cell(this option would be a rally point for them to increase their ranks and try to break him free)

Sure, they then obviously wouldn't then committ acts of terrorism in that country.

It's bad either or, but at least with him dead he's less of a focul point
