Going to Cebu

I have a buddy going to Cebu for a two week stay. Not sure when his trip is scheduled. He's looking for places to go, things to do, cheap places to stay, and people/groups to train with. Any recommendations?

Maraming Salamat!

Get him to PM me and I will see what I can do.

If he is going out in the 3rd week in January your buudy will get to see the great Sunilog Festival.

Doce Pares, Balintawak, Lapunti Arnis De Abanico and much more. Who knows if he/she is there in December I can give them a guided tour.

Best regards

Pat

Thanks Pat, Shooto, LBB, Taliesin. I'll relay all that.

Red, I found the email and gave it to my friend. Thanks.

Pat, I'll PM you. My friend's not on MAP, so I'll either get your private contact info or give you his.

Just a quick one regarding hotels.

If you are looking for a nice hotel to fit your needs and requirements then
I recommend looking on the internet, where you can view all the hotel facilities and find out what they have got and read reviews from other customers etc....it is ideal. But do not book through an agent. Once you have made your choice phone up direct. You will get a better rate.

Failing that there are plently of cheap hostel like places, if you are travelling on a budget and just want a walkin wardrobe and a place to put your head down, then this is your best option. And will not break your pocket let alone the bank.

If anyone else is reading this that intends to go out ever with children....then hostels or anything less than a 3 star hotel is not recommended, in my opinion. Even some 3 star I would look into thoroughly. with 3 star hotels, you seem to be able to get both ends of the scale. So for price they are worth it, if you get a good one.

From my experience though in Cebu, the price is still so reasonable for a 4 star or even 5 star hotel that you will get so much more for just a few dollars extra that it will add to your experience.

Actually, that was not so quick afterall.

Lots of love

Lucy
