MA in Liverpool, England
Hello all. I've been looking into taking a break from the Bujinkan while I go and look at as many other styles as possible. I'm based in Liverpool and don't have a car. I will travel (within reason
) and would appreciate anyone who knows of any clubs in this area to let me know. Any clubs at all, I'll try anything once....well almost anything

IMHO the best martial arts to be had in Liverpool is Next Generation, formerly Scouse Shoot.

Thanks people
I always wanted to try my hand at Jujitsu and I think I've found a good Dojo. I'm also going to see if the Kendo club at IM Marsh is still around. Thanks for the assistance.
Sam

There are a lot of ju jitsu clubs in Liverpool. Most of them originated from Lowlands Ju Jitsu Club in West Derby, which has been running since the 1950s. It was founded by Sensei James Blundell, and is now run by his son Ken Blundell.
Sensei Clark trained there originally, as did Richard Morris, with whom he started the WJJF. The WJJF split from the BJJA (British Ju Jitsu Federation) some years ago. Martial arts politics being what it is, a number of other clubs have split from both the WJJF and the BJJA since then. Among people of Robert Clark's generation there are also Senseis John Steadman and Jimmy Pape who have clubs in the area which are slightly less commercial. There are WJJF and BJJA clubs throughout Liverpool, as well as clubs which basically do the same style but no longer belong to either organisation. Most of them are fairly reputable, but some are more businesslike than others so cost and conditions vary. If you pm me your local area I'll send you a list of some clubs nearby.

There's Southern Mantis and Tibetan Lion's roar (Hop Gar) in Liverpool though I'm not sure how open the classes are.
http://www.tibetankungfu.com/tibetan_kung-fu_home.htm Sifu Steve Richards is well respected (by such people as Geoff Thompson and Paul Crompton) and the author of several MA books. Rgds, David
