I wasn't thinking of it that way, but now that you mention it, I can see that. It has all the Death Star stuff, it has guys from the cantina, it has a planet that I totally thought looked like Tatooine, it has trees like on that forest moon, it has a guy wearing Han's Hoth jacket, it has Rebel soldiers wearing the forest uniforms, it has ... man, I could go on and on! Now that you mention it, that's totally what this movie is! :jawdrop:
I think you might really enjoy checking out Mr. Plinkett's reviews of the Star Wars prequels, TFA and Rogue One. Half in the Bag (same guys really) does some as well and they're great as well, though not as in depth or with as much production value. Really good analysis of the film's failures and successes.
Would love to hear your thoughts when you finish them. I think Film Crit Hulk's review was also spot on for it.
