Had to google The Raid, nice find! Don't think I've seen an Indonesian movie before, but going to put it on my to watch list.

I have a friend who does knows what sort of films I like ... he gave me the tip off on The Raid so I can't take all the credit for that one but very happy to share.

I've heard the Avengers is very good.

Oh, it's beyond good, my friend. Way, way beyond good.

I forgot about the two Snow White movies earlier. I think I'll wait for Net Flix or Redbox, but still, they are both on my list, particularly the Lily Collins / Julia Roberts one. :D

Edit: Interesting-- if I spell Net Flix the correct way, it comes out as a link to the site.

What do you mean "heard"? Your sentence is wrong, it's meant to see "I KNOW the Avengers is very good"...

How DARE you??? It was the greatest movie ever! If you ignore Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Back to the Future, Drunken Master II, X2, Iron Man, and Calamari Wrestler, etc...

    AndrewTheAndroid A hero for fun.

You are so petty... and tiny.

I think you mean puny. Hulk was the best thing about it!

I really don't think so. And judging by the movies you have mentioned, you're not familiar with great movies. :) X2 really?

It was a really good movie I gave it an 8/10 but not great. Just like Avatar wasn't great or Inception. The action was visually great to watch but nothing new or spectacular...
The fight between Black Widow and Hawkeye was so predictable and overdone, the whole chair thing. Hulk obviously smashed everything... Captain America was average, Iron Man vs Thor was stupid. Story was predictable...

    Nope, I was paraphrasing Thor.

Bah Thor is another puny God!

I am most looking forward to watch
Moonrise Kingdom (new movie of Wes Anderson)
Django Unchained (new movie of Tarantino)
    The Dark Knight Rises
Skyfall (the trailer is out btw http://www.imdb.com/list/TB56Gm1AqRw/ )

If it is more reminiscent of Casino Royale I will be very excited but if it is more of a Quantam of Solace, then not so much...

The Hobbit (1 and 2) and World War Z are must sees for me.

Agreed!!! Casino Royale was maybe the most awesome James Bond movie ever ( I have watched all of them:hat:) while Quantum of Solace was pretty plain, if you exclude the awesome first scenes of the car chase!!

Good thing is that the new trailer is AWESOME!! I hope the same applies for the movie! I have pretty high hopes.

X2 was brilliant. Nightcrawlers attack on the White House was too awesome for words.

Admittedly, I do watch a lot of crap - at last count I have over 1300 blu-rays and DVD's (but I've only logged 500 or something), not all of them winners. Also, Empire Strikes Back is the single greatest movie ever. There's nothing better. Nopes. Nothing. Not even Avengers.

Totally. Casino made Bond relevant again after the later lacklustre Brosnan years, however, Quantum pulled the carpet from underneath us and showed us just how rubbish Bond can be.

It was a great scene, but a scene does not make a movie. I'm a big, huge fan of Star Wars I grew up with the movies because my uncle is a hardcore fan. But I would not rate it as my favourite movie. :)

This is true, a scene doesn't make the movie, the overall movie made the movie a cracker! :D

This should really be a subject for another thread, but you seem like a movie fan, so I'm curious, what would you say your fave movie is? I'm not sure I can name just one, there's just so many of them. Even though I love Empire, again, I'm not sure it's my favourite of all time...
