Suffice to say that I appreciate your invitation for a drink, but I am not in Japan at the moment; I had to return to Canada for a family emergency, and I don't know when I will be going back to Japan, certainly not in the foreseeable future.

Firstly, let me say that I have respect for Mr. Molitor; he seems to have much respect for Hatsumi sensei and the arts themselves. I realize that my comments were on the harsh side. I assure you that I meant no personal offense toward him. I applaud you for displaying maturity and intelligence in the face of this criticism, in light of the fact that he is your teacher.

I honestly wasn't viewing the movement in the clip as being particular to Kukishin ryu. That's mostly due to the fact that my training and practice with my own teacher as well as the Japanese was never so particular. So I honestly couldn't tell you the difference between a sword cut from Kukishin ryu and another ryu-ha. If that makes me less of a practitioner than the next person, I'm perfectly okay with that. I'm only interested in doing the work, not the atmosphere going on around it.
