Upper/lower splits, your experience.
I’ve been contemplating a shift for a while now for a few reasons:
1)fits in better with various sporting and work commitments (can work on things like punching technique with slight DOMS in legs etc.)
2)cuts down work out time, which would be handy for keeping
hormone levels ‘right’ and giving me time to throw a little conditioning in (sprints on leg day and complexes on upper body day)
3)Will help prevent poor form from tiredness, after doing squats OHP and push press people bench can get a bit sketchy.
4) More time on or under the bar, this is probably the main thing, I really enjoy weight lifting and this will allow me to fit in 4 sessions + 1 plyo/explosive session a week instead of just 2 and one day sprints.
Just on the lookout for a decent routine and I’m pretty sure I’ll make the switch, has anyone else used this type of split? And what where your experiences?
