I had my first kyokushin class yesterday and now its been 24 hours and my whole body is very sore. I have my next class tomorrow but I cant even lift my arm so do I have to skip tomorrow's class? Or is there anything I can do to make it less painful?

Simple warm up drills and then light stretching. Your body will thank you. active recovery they call it. And as always... plenty of sleep and liquids. Learn to discern the difference between soreness and injury. Soreness is ok to train through given you are getting your rest in and eating well along with good sleep habits. Muscle or bone injury is NOT ok to train through and needs to be addressed specifically before going back to training.
Learn to listen to your body when it speaks to you.

I always find a really hot bath helps me. Some people swear by cold showers and others use alternating hot and cold baths/showers.

It will stop after a few sessions as your body reacts. Everyone goes through this. Just take the pain and have your partner rub you down.

Get moving, the only way to get the pain out of your muscles is to use them.

Yay another fellow kyokushin karateka =D.
Yeah. just do a warm up and some light stretching everyday. helps a lot. the frequency of soreness will decrease a lot as your body gets used to the training =D

Like people say your body is adapting to a new stimulus, it'll get better.
Sleep, a good diet and a decent warm up/cool down should do the trick.
After training eat anything that isn't screwed down.

Thanks everyone I'm gonna try what everyone said but I think I'll skip tomorrow cause it hurts like hell. I haven't had any physical activity for almost a year so that could be the problem.

Thanks everyone I'm gonna try what everyone said but I think I'll skip tomorrow cause it hurts like hell. I haven't had any physical activity for almost a year so that could be the problem. If you are ever really sore like that, you can show up and warmup as much as you can then sit out and observe the rest of the time. If that is something your school allows that is. Or have your instructor give you something to work on that is fairly easy for whatever condition you are in.
If I showed up like that at my dojo, they would probably have me go on the mats and give me one or two drills I could work at my own pace/intensity for as long as was safe for me. Then stop if I wore out and just watch the class.
You would be amazed at how much you can learn by just sitting back and watching a class. Once you get that "eye" in your training you will see what I mean.

Surprised no one has suggested using a foam roller/ tennis ball. They work wonders.
