hey this is more a recommendation for the hardcore people in this field. than a post about the subject.

what im looking for is a full kick workout

with both strength training (air squats and pistols and so on)

the actually kicking (base kicks for building strength and technique)

stretching (for getting the maximum movement range)

i know that this is like asking what car is the best one?

since every style have their own opinion about the subject,

but what would you recommend?

in case this is already posted somewhere i would like a link. since i failed to find it myself.

I recommend checking out our own Van Zandt's stretching and kicking blog here (http://danvanzandt.blogspot.com/)

In addition take a look at Van Zandt's beginners guide to flexibility here (http://www.martialartsplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85373&highlight=beginners+guide).

Do not be out off by the term beginner. There is something there for everyone, whatever experience they have.

absolutely and i have read these posts. and i like his theories.
i my self have been doing martial arts in 17 years. but my focus was more on the more brutal stuff. and even though i have had nice flexibility ihaven't maintained it.

my entire class wanted to do splits. and they are all on van zandts split workout right now. (me included) but a split is not going to cut it. you need more for being good at kicking

with both strength training (air squats and pistols and so on)

In terms of kicking, you should focus on two types of strength training: 1) basic compound lifts (squats and deadlifts) to strengthen the muscles which stabilise your joints, and 2) dynamic strength exercises (hamstring and adductor pulldowns) to build range of movement in positions which closely resemble your kicks.

the actually kicking (base kicks for building strength and technique)

Your body adapts specifically to the demands you impose upon it. Therefore the best way for you to do kicks for "strength and technique" as you put it is to do them slowly. You could begin by simply holding the chamber position (see image below) for a certain length of time; when you can hold it in place comfortably for three minutes, you can introduce additional drills such as drawing a circle in the air with your knee or raising your knee up and down for a certain number of repetitions.

Front kick chamber

but my focus was more on the more brutal stuff.

Please elaborate on what you mean by "brutal stuff"?

thanks van zandt those will be incorporated.

by brutal i mean the more unpretty parts of martial arts. krav maga. self defence (inspired by vale tudo) and so on. even though i did kung fu for many years i didn't focus on the the things like flexibility training and so on

these were my focus points. now i just want to expand and i want my kicks to be better. way better! before i pretty much only used front kick and round house. both nice kicks. but would like to incorporate the rest.
