In the way of the dragon Bruce Lee makes some darts out of a bit of wood.Does anyone know the origins of these weapons,what are they called.

I saw an episode of Ripley's where a former Chinese Government Assasin used needles, that, thrown with enough force and accuracy, manages to go through glass.
...I wonder what he could do with chopsticks...
